Numbers nine and ten
So at last I can breathe for a second in order to catch up on pages. I've had these sitting waiting to be blogged for a week or so but life is hectic at the moment. Anyway, today we had snow and it is only a week to go till the big day -maybe we will have a white Christmas? Page nine was traditions, we always have this silly robin that has been with us since we got married, nearly 30 years ago so although he doesn't go with the decor he has to come out every year and perch on the clock. We also have a wicker basket, again one that we have had years from when we first got married. We were given a lovely hamper from a very posh store in London and when he came home with this lovely basket I thought he had bought me a dog for Christmas! The goodies in it were lovely though..

Day eight
Things are busy here at home, have been working at home the last couple of evenings getting some deadline stuff done, but have managed to stop for a while to get my page 8 done.I always know Christmas isn't far away when the guys come along in their craney thing and put the lights in the tree by the museum in the high street on my way home from work. They are very simple but very effective.

Here's five and seven
I know,I know,I'm all upside down with the numbers but I took another photo of number 5 tonight and it's uploaded fine now. So all should be back on track.I keep looking at all these counters that people have on their blogs and It is just hitting home how near we actually are to the big day.I really really must get myself into 'Christmas mode' and start sorting stuff!

Number four
I've sat this evening and done three pages, four five and six. For some ridiculous reason I can't upload number five, the other two have loaded fine and as it's late and I'm not going to start photographing again to get number 5 sorted so I shall post four and six,so bear with me and pretend they are in order! No idea why it's happening, number five for some strange reason keeps loading into blogger sideways.Anyone else ever had that or is it just me? I liked doing the memories page as my dad has just recently done his old car trip with Santa and it reminded me of when I was a child, happy memories of helping him clean the brass on the old lamps at the front of the car...

To make or not ?
The big question for me is do I make all my cards or do I buy some, how on earth can someone who crafts constantly send a card that isn't hand made? I always beat myself up about that every year, and every year I end up making some cards more or less in the last 2 weeks before Christmas then buying some as well.So this year I am going to do exactly the same- make some and buy some !

Day 2 - the weather
Today we are talking about weather. I decided to think about how my perfect Christmas would be weather wise, Instead of all this rain, rain, rain and mud,I would love to wake up Christmas morning to snow in the garden. I would love it to be really thick -just for Christmas day and Boxing day when we would be indoors in the warm and only venture out to take the dog for a walk. It could melt a bit then when we had to be up and about and driving to work and other places.

Day One - Manifesto
Off we go on the journey that is December,Christmas and beyond.
Today is manifesto day, where we put into words our intentions for this month.I've promised myself that I am not going to try and make a page every day, I'll just go with the flow and even jot down my feelings or happenings of the day and blog that if I don't have the time to stop for long. I've taken a photo of our little ceramic calendar I fell in love with at the German market last year showing the start of this journey - Dec 1st. Here is my title page and manifesto( well, it's a few words!)
